1. In the name of Allah the Gracious, the Merciful.
2. (All) Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds,
3. Merciful (to all in this world), Merciful (to believers in the other world),
4. To the Lord of Judgment Day (Retribution).
5. Only You (One) do we worship and only You (One) do we turn to for help.
6. Lead (You) us on the straight path,
7. by the way of those whom (You) have made good, not by those who have fallen under (Your) anger and not (by the way) of those who have gone astray.
2. Cow (“Al-Baqarah”, sent in Medina, 286 verses) – verse: 1-74
1. In the name of Allah the Gracious, the Merciful. Alif, lam, mim.
2. This is a Scripture (Quran) in which there is no doubt, (and without doubt) a straight path for the God-fearing,
3. those who believe in the secret (believe in Allah and what He has revealed) and (always) perform the prayer ritual (namaz) and give alms (zakat) from what We have determined for them to inherit,
4. And who believe in what was sent to you (O Muhammad) and what was sent to you (in the books that were sent to the former prophets), and are convinced that there is (exists) a future life.
5. They follow the straight path indicated by the Lord, and they will find bliss (in this world and in the next).
6. (O Muhammad!) Verily, those who disbelieved, it does not matter to them whether you persuaded (warned) them or did not persuade them – (they) do not believe.
7. Allah has sealed their hearts and hearing, and a veil over their eyes (they turned away from the truth when it became clear to them), and a great punishment is prepared for them (in Hell).
8. And among the people there are those who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day.” But they are unbelievers (they are hypocrites – outwardly they are believers, but in their hearts they are unbelievers).
9. They (try to) deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive only themselves, and they do not realize it.
10. In their hearts (souls) is a disease (of doubt), so Allah will increase their disease! A painful punishment was prepared for them for lying.
11. When it is said to them: “Do not do dishonor (disorder) on earth!” – they answer: “We do only good deeds.” (They consider their misdeeds to be correct.)
12. In order for you to know for sure, we inform you that indeed they are wicked people (who spread wickedness), but they themselves do not realize (this).
13. And when it is said to them: “Believe as (other) people believed (as the companions of the Prophet),” they reply: “Shall we believe as the fools believed?” So that you know for sure, we inform you that they are indeed stupid, but they do not know about it.
14. And when they meet those who have believed, they say: “We have believed.” But when they are left alone with their shaitans (friends), they say: “Verily, we are with you, verily, we only mock (the believers).” .
15. Allah mocks them (on the Day of Judgment) and (while He alone) gives them respite (in this world) for their iniquity, in which they wander blindly.
16. They are those who bought error at the price of the true path. But the transaction did not bring them profit (since they did not acquire anything), and they are not counted among those who follow the straight path.
17. By example they are like one who (in a dark night) kindled a fire, and when (the fire) illuminated all that was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in (obscure) darkness, so that they could not see.
18. Deaf, dumb, blind, they will not return (to the straight path).
19. Or they are like (those who are under) a rain cloud in the sky. She brings darkness, thunder and lightning, but they are in mortal fear, from lightning strikes, plug their ears with their fingers (fearing death). But Allah embraces (with His might) the disbelievers.
20. They are almost blinded by lightning (they are almost blinded by its bright brilliance). When it flares up, they start their journey by its light, and when darkness covers them, they stop. Had Allah willed, He could have deprived them of their hearing and sight: verily, Allah has power over all things (He can do all things).
21. O people! Worship your Lord (do His will), who created (from nothingness) you and those who lived before you, and then there is hope that you will be God-fearing.
22. (Worship the Lord,) He is the One who made the earth your carpet, and the sky your roof, and who sent down water (rain) from the sky, and brought forth fruits on the earth for your sustenance. Compare not (anyone) with Allah, for you know (that they are not equal).
23. And if you are in doubt about (the truth of) what We have sent down to Our servant (Muhammad), then reveal a surah equal to (surah Qur’an) and call (to the aid of) your witnesses besides Allah, if you are truthful.
24. If you do not do this – but you will never do this – then fear the fire of hell, in which people and stones burn (fueled by) people and stones, (which is) prepared by the infidel.
25. Rejoice (O Muhammad) those who believed and did good deeds: for them are prepared gardens of paradise, where rivers flow below (trees). Whenever the inhabitants are given fruits for sustenance there, they say, “This is the same as what was given to us before (in the former world).” And (in fact) they are given the likeness of what they tasted (in the former world). In those gardens they will be given pure spouses, and they will stay like this forever (they will not die and will not leave
from there).
26. Verily, Allah does not hesitate to make an example of a gnat, and (even) an example superior to this (Allah can make an example even of that which is smaller than a gnat), and those who believe understand that it is (an example) – the truth sent by their Lord. Those who disbelieved will say: “What did Allah mean by this example?” (And that by which Allah tests them,) By it He misleads many, and guides many to the straight path. But He misleads only the wicked,
27. Those who break the covenant (agreement) with Allah, after they have made it, sever that which Allah commanded to join together, and commit mischief on earth. They will be at a loss (in this world and in the eternal life).
28. How do you not believe in Allah? You were dead (before this life) and He revived you (brought you into this world). Then He will (again) put you to death, bring you back to life (on the Day of Resurrection), and then you will be returned to Him.
29. He (Allah) – He Who created for you all that is on earth, then took up (the creation of) the sky and added to it the form (made it in the form of) seven heavens, and (only) He knows all that exists.
30. And your Lord said to the angels: “I will place on earth a governor.” They (the angels) said: “Will You place on earth one who will sin and shed blood (showing injustice and tyranny), while we glorify You with praise and sanctify You?” Allah said: “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.”
31. And (Allah) taught Adam all the names, then offered them to the angels and said: “Inform me (explain the meaning of) these names if you are truthful.”
32. (The Angels) Said: “Praise be to You (O Allah)! We only know what You have taught us (we have no knowledge except this). Verily, You are All-Knowing, the Wise.”
33. Allah said: “O Adam! Tell them (make clear to the angels the essence of) their names.” When (Adam) informed them (explained to the angels the essence of) their names, Allah said: “Did I not tell you that I know what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you do openly and what you conceal?”
34. And then We said to the angels: “Prostrate (make prostration) before Adam.” All prostrated (before Adam), except Iblis (who) refused (to prostrate), became proud and became unfaithful (due to disobedience to Allah).
35. We said: “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife (Eve) in Paradise (Garden of Paradise), eat there to your heart’s content, wherever (whatever) you like, but do not come near this tree, lest you find yourself among the unrighteous.”
36. And Shaytan (Iblis) misled them so that they tripped over it (the tree) and brought (this act) them two out from where they were. We said: “Come down (to the Earth you – Adam, Eve, Iblis) being enemies to each other! Let the earth become your temporary abode, and from it you will receive the necessities of life.”
37. Then Adam accepted the words of his Lord (repented), and He accepted his repentance. Verily, He is the Repentant (forgiving), the Merciful.
38. (Yes,) We said: “Come down (to the Earth) from there (from Paradise) all of you.” And if a guide to the straight path appears to you from Me (prophets, heavenly books), then those who follow My straight path will have nothing to fear and will not experience grief.
39. And those who disbelieved and denied Our signs, they are the inhabitants of the Fire (will burn in Hell), they (will) abide therein forever.
40. O sons of Israel (prophet Jacob)! Remember the mercy that I have given you (how great it is) and be faithful to the covenant you gave Me and I will be faithful to the covenant given to you, and fear only Me (Allah).
41. And believe in that (Qur’an) which I have sent down (I to My Messenger Muhammad) in confirmation of that (Torah) which is with you, and do not reject it (Qur’an) first. Do not sell My signs for a pittance and fear Me alone.
42. And do not endow (mix) the truth with falsehood, do not conceal the truth, while you know (it).
43. (Be submissive to Allah) And establish prayer (namaz), give alms (zakat) and bow down (ruku’) with those who pray.
44. Will you exhort people to virtue (do righteous deeds) and forget (exhort) yourselves while you read the scriptures? Will you not understand?
45. And (in every matter of yours) seek the help of patience and prayer (namaz). Indeed, prayer (namaz) is a great burden (for all) except the humble,
46. (and the humble) are those who know that they will (definitely) stand before their Lord and that (without doubt) they will return to Him (on the Day of Judgment).
47. O children of Israel! Remember the mercy that I (Allah) bestowed upon you, (and that) I favored you over other peoples of the world (who lived in your time).
48. And fear the Day (the Day of Judgment) when no man will accept punishment for another and no one of the people will be allowed to intercede (for another) and no ransom will be taken from him (it will not be possible to atone for the sins committed), and they will not assistance provided.
49. And (remember) how We saved you from the henchmen of Pharaoh (Pharaoh). They subjected you to the worst punishment, killed (cut off the heads of) your sons and left your women alive. This is a great test for you from your Lord.
50. And (remember) how We divided
