The position of Her Eminence Fatima in terms of moral qualities, as well as in the sense of God-fearing and bowing before Allah was so high that whenever she went to the house of the great Prophet, His Eminence greeted her warmly, kissed her hands, seated her and said that Fatima is a part of my body and whoever comforts her will comfort me, whoever insults her will insult me. Imam Hasan says: “One day on Friday, my mother Fatima got up on the prayer seat and began to pray and prayed until the morning, and prayed for the neighbors. I said to her: “Why didn’t you pray for yourself?” She said: “Son , first you have to think about your neighbors, and then about yourself.”
Once the prophet asked: “What can be the best for a woman?”
Fatima replied: “My dear father, the best thing for a woman is that the eyes of another man do not see her and she does not see another man.” The Prophet pressed her to his chest and said: “Generation and posterity – each has its descendants.”
Fatima lived for eighteen years. She was the wife of His Holiness Imam Ali and within nine years gave birth to such children as Imam Hasan and Hussain and Zainab, Kulsum. She died in Medina a few months after the death of the great prophet and was buried in the evening. Her majesty was buried in the evening and secretly according to her will and this will was made so that the Muslims would know that Fatima Zahra was displeased with the events that took place after the death of the great prophet and she expressed her displeasure in such a way that it would be recorded in history and contributed to the growth of Muslim consciousness.
During these three months, in the full sense of the word, she defended the position and power of Ali and, in fact, sacrificed her life along the way.
Shia Muslims regard the death of Fatima as an act of martyrdom and honor her memory with mourning “Ayyami Fatimiyyah” in the month of Jumad al-ul. Imam Ali buried Fatima secretly, the place of her grave is still unknown. Fatima was the only child of the Prophet Muhammad who survived him. May there be peace with her.
