World Hijab Day

World Hijab Day is observed annually on February 1. It was established in 2013 by Muslim activist Nazma Khan, who resides in the United States. The purpose of the day is to highlight women’s right to freedom of religion and choice of clothing, as well as to reduce stereotypes about women who wear the hijab.
Today, the day is marked in many countries through educational events, public discussions, and social media campaigns. The initiative aims to promote mutual understanding and respect among people of different cultures and religions.
